Terms
Plain language. If something here reads as a trick, it is a mistake — tell us.
Who you are agreeing with
Kumo is made and operated by Wiseria LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company, 30 N Gould St, STE R, Sheridan, WY 82801, USA ("we", "us"). By installing or using Kumo you agree to these terms. If you do not, do not use it.
What you get
A licence to use Kumo on Macs you control, for your own work or your employer's. You may not resell it, rent it out, or redistribute it. Kumo is not open source and there is no licence to copy or modify it.
The beta
Until 1 November 2026 Kumo is free and needs no account. It is beta software: it is provided as is, it will have bugs, and features may change or be removed. Do not use it where a failure would be expensive without your own backups and your own review of what agents do.
Every issue we label confirmed earns you one month of Kumo Personal, up to 12
months per account, granted when the beta ends. Feature requests are welcome but don't
count. We decide what is confirmed, and we will not award credit for duplicates or for
issues we cannot reproduce.
Paying
- Kumo Personal is $10 per month or $100 per year.
- There is a seven-day trial, once per account, and it requires a card. Cancel before it ends and you are not charged.
- After that, if you are unhappy, write to us within 14 days of a payment and we will refund it.
- Cancel any time from your account page. You keep the plan until the period you paid for ends.
- Prices may change. If they do, we will tell you before it affects a renewal, and you can cancel instead.
Payments are processed by Stripe; their terms apply to the payment itself. Prices exclude any tax we are required to collect.
Accounts and Macs
An account is for one person. Do not share credentials. You may sign in on up to five Macs; a sixth is refused until you sign one out, which you can do from your account page.
If your subscription ends, Kumo keeps working under the Free limits. We will never stop an agent that is running because of billing.
Agents are your responsibility
Kumo runs agent CLIs that you install, sign in to and configure. Those agents write files, run commands and can push code. What they do is your responsibility. We do not review, approve or supervise their output, and we are not a party to your relationship with their providers. Use the permission modes and review the diffs.
Pilots
Pilots run on models we provide through our own service, and what you give them goes through us to the model provider (see the privacy page). There is a daily allowance per account. It is there to stop abuse. We may change the models, the allowance or the provider, and we will say so in the release notes when we do. Like an agent's output, what a Pilot says can be wrong, and what you do with it is your call.
Acceptable use
Do not use Kumo to break the law, to attack systems you do not have permission to touch, or to work around the terms of the agent providers you connect it to. Do not attempt to abuse the relay or the account service, or use the Pilot model service for anything other than Kumo's Pilots. We may suspend an account that does.
Availability
The app runs on your Mac and does not need us to be online, except for Pilots, which reach their model through us. The relay and the account service are ordinary internet services and will occasionally be down; there is no uptime guarantee. If entitlement checks fail, Kumo keeps your plan for a seven-day grace period rather than locking you out.
Warranty and liability
Kumo is provided as is, without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows. To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for anything arising out of Kumo is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, and we are not liable for lost profits, lost data or indirect damages. Nothing here limits liability that cannot legally be limited.
Ending it
You can stop using Kumo and delete your account at any time. We may end your licence if you break these terms; if we do it for any other reason, we will refund the unused part of what you paid.
Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced in the release notes, and continuing to use Kumo after that means you accept them.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, USA, and the state and federal courts located in Wyoming have exclusive jurisdiction, without affecting any consumer rights you have where you live.
